Car Charging Pros is hiring a journeyman-level residential electrician to support our growing EV charger installation work across the Wasatch Front. This role is ideal for an electrician who wants clean residential installs, flexible scheduling, and consistent work—without service-call chaos.
This position starts part-time (25–35 hours per week) with a clear path to full-time hours for the right candidate.
Job Responsibilities
- Install Level 2 residential EV chargers
- Powerwall, Powershare, and GM Home Energy experience a plus.
- Perform occasional panel upgrades and related electrical work
- Complete jobs independently from start to finish
- Communicate professionally with homeowners
- Follow NEC code and company install standards
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- No weekends required (optional if you prefer weekend work)
- Flexible scheduling within assigned jobs
- Work locations throughout the Wasatch Front
Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician (UT) OR 5+ years of residential electrical experience
- Strong residential electrical background (panels, conduit bending, feeders, branch circuits)
- EV charger installation experience preferred (training available)
- Able to complete jobs independently or with minimal oversight
- Own standard electrician tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders
- Clean background and able to pass a drug screen
Compensation
- Hourly pay: $28–$36 per hour (DOE) Placement within this range is based on experience, licensing, and ability to work independently. Additional benefits and incentives will be discussed later in the interview process.

- Competitive per-job (piece-rate) pay option Ideal for electricians who prefer performance-based compensation. Piece-rate structure includes its own set of perks and incentives, which will be reviewed during the interview process.
