Milling Associate
Hilliard, OH
Mayco Colors is seeking to hire a Milling Associate to join the team at our Hilliard, Ohio facility. The Milling Associate plays a crucial role ensuring the production of Mayco Glazes and acrylic paints by batching and mixing raw ingredients to make the product. This position will heavily emphasize accuracy, time management, and work quality. This is an onsite position.
The following schedules are available:
Monday-Friday from 2PM to 10:30 PM
There is potential for overtime.
There is shift differential pay.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Weigh or measure raw materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Stage necessary material into process tanks, follow batch work instructions to manufacture quality products
- Compound or process ingredients according to recipe.
- Read work orders to determine production specifications or information.
- Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Adjust batch, until it is approved to meet QC Standards
- Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times to achieve specified consistency resulting in glaze.
- Manually dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
- Collect samples of glaze for laboratory testing.
- Follow health and safety regulations
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or training
Required Qualifications
- HSD or GED
- Lifting frequently up to 50 pounds
- Must have acceptable math skills
- Reaching and handling objects with hands and arms frequently.
- Standing for long periods of time, walking, or balancing.
- Bending, pushing, pulling of materials.
- Stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
