Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems for retail sales transactions, processing cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately.
- Handle food preparation tasks with a focus on food safety standards, including food handling and basic food prep.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
- Manage retail math for cash handling, balancing registers at shift end while processing transactions swiftly and accurately.
- Support beverage service and drink service operations to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Experience in beverage preparation and retail sales transactions will set you up for success in this lively role.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
