Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic team, dedicated to delivering high-quality painting services across a variety of projects. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paint or coatings.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying), and other hand tools.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and color schemes to accurately execute design specifications.
- Perform construction painting surface preparation on various materials such as plaster, stucco, masonry, concrete, and wood structures.
- Conduct renovation and restoration projects by repairing damaged surfaces and applying appropriate coatings for durability.
- Use ladders safely to reach high areas while adhering to all safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols.
- Assist with fixture installation, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry work, and basic handyman tasks as needed on construction sites.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools like power tools and hand tools while following safety procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and schematics for precise application of coatings on industrial or commercial projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and following safety protocol adherence during all tasks.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes related to painting projects.
- Strong understanding of color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching.
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and structural painting techniques.
- Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Skilled in construction site experience including surface preparation, plastering, caulking, masonry, stucco application, and concrete finishing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics for accurate project execution.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including respiratory protection measures and safety protocol adherence on construction sites.
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and estimating materials needed for projects.
- Experience with fixture installation and maintenance tasks related to renovation projects.
- Familiarity with construction estimating principles to assist in project planning and resource allocation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform visual color comparisons for consistent finishes across surfaces.
