Chalmers Ford is actively seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager / Service Advisor to join our growing Fixed Operations team in Rio Rancho, NM.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dealership service professional who enjoys leading a team while remaining actively involved in the service drive. In this role, you'll oversee daily service department operations while assisting with customer interactions and writing repair orders as needed.

The Automotive Service Manager / Service Advisor will oversee the daily operations of the service department while helping ensure an exceptional customer experience. This position requires a leader who is comfortable managing workflow, supporting advisors and technicians, and stepping into the service lane to write repair orders when needed.
The ideal candidate is an experienced dealership professional who leads by example and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Assist in managing the daily operations of the service department

Support and lead the service team to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction

Write repair orders and assist customers during peak service hours

Ensure efficient scheduling and workflow between advisors and technicians

Monitor repair progress and communicate updates to customers

Help achieve departmental sales, gross profit, and CSI goals

Coach and mentor service department employees

Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently

Ensure dealership and manufacturer policies are followed

Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment

Minimum of 2 years of Service Manager experience in an automotive dealership required

Previous dealership experience is required

Strong leadership and team management skills

Experience writing repair orders and advising customers

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
