Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with beverage recipe development to keep offerings fresh and innovative.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for billing, and ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours, including banquet and catering events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced hospitality environment; fine dining or resort experience is highly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of cocktail recipes, craft beer selection, wine varieties, and beverage presentation techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper alcohol serving practices.
- Experience in bar management or supervising a bar team is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
