The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a charismatic and skilled Bartender to join the team at Horse to Water, our seasonal outdoor beverage experience. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a passion for beverage service, a flair for presentation, and a commitment to delivering an elevated guest experience in a unique outdoor setting.
As a Bartender at Horse to Water, you will prepare and serve a variety of beverages while engaging guests with warm, professional, and attentive service. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for guests enjoying the outdoor atmosphere and amenities of the World Equestrian Center. Your service will reflect the World Equestrian Center’s core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and other drinks with consistency, quality, and attention to detail.
- Engage guests with warmth and professionalism while providing knowledgeable recommendations and personalized service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing bar and service area throughout the shift.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs to leadership to support seamless daily operations.
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations, company policies, and responsible beverage service standards.
- Provide efficient and attentive service during periods of high guest volume.
- Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism, discretion, and a service-focused approach.
- Maintain accurate cash handling and POS transactions.
- Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and maintaining the bar and surrounding service areas.
- Work collaboratively with fellow bartenders, servers, culinary team members, and leadership to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the World Equestrian Center.
- Perform all responsibilities while working outdoors and in varying weather conditions, including periods of direct sunlight.
Schedule & Seasonal Requirements:
- This is a seasonal position.
- Scheduled primarily Friday through Sunday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, during the operating season.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods.
- This position is weather-dependent, and scheduled shifts may be adjusted, modified, or canceled based on weather conditions and operational needs.
- Must be comfortable working in direct sunlight and varying outdoor temperatures and weather conditions.
- Availability may be required during special events or periods of increased guest activity.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of bartending or beverage service experience; upscale or high-volume hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to exceptional guest service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- ServSafe and Alcohol Compliance Certifications required.
- Previous experience working in an outdoor, poolside, resort, event, or high-volume environment preferred.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and in direct sunlight.
- Must be available to work Friday through Sunday, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, seasonally, as well as during applicable special events.
