Description:
Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician with a strong electrical and mechanical background in print manufacturing? We're looking for a skilled problem-solver to join our 2nd or 3rd shift maintenance team. In this role, you'll troubleshoot and repair production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and play a critical role in keeping our operation running safely and efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, including presses, bindery equipment, and facility systems.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.

Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.

Install, adjust, and test equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.

Inspect machines and equipment to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used.

Collaborate with production operators to identify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.

Assist in equipment setups, changeovers, and machinery installations as needed.

Perform basic welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs when required.

Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and spare parts.

Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), OSHA regulations, and company safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and safe maintenance shop and work environment.

Support facility maintenance needs, including lighting, HVAC, and general building repairs.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Assist in training operators on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Prior experience in printing industry maintenance strongly preferred (web offset, sheetfed, bindery, or finishing equipment).

Electro-mechanical experience in a production environment preferred but not required.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with exposure to industrial systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.

Experience diagnosing and repairing production equipment to minimize downtime.

Basic welding, fabrication, and machining skills preferred.

Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes of equipment issues.

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple urgent issues in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to partner effectively with production teams.

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call as needed to support production demands.
Physical Requirements

Requires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending.

Ability to lift 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally.

Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.

Requires working around and operating departmental equipment.
