We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our hospital pharmacy team. In this role, you will help ensure medications are prepared, distributed, and documented accurately so patients receive the care they need safely and efficiently.
Working under the supervision of a pharmacist, you'll play an important role in daily pharmacy operations, supporting medication distribution, automated dispensing systems, medication histories, sterile compounding activities, and inventory management. You'll collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals while developing valuable skills that directly support patient care and medication safety.
- Accurately fill medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Restock and maintain automated dispensing cabinets to ensure medications are available when needed
- Complete home medication histories and assist with medication reconciliation activities
- Prepare IV admixtures and unit-dose medications following established procedures
- Answer and direct pharmacy phone calls while providing excellent customer service
- Process returned medications and accurately credit patient profiles when appropriate
- Assist with inventory management and maintain adequate medication stock levels
- Participate in monthly unit inspections and quality assurance activities
- Help identify and remove outdated or expired medications
- Maintain pharmacy records, documentation, and departmental systems
- Support pharmacists and other team members in daily pharmacy operations
- Comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Indiana Pharmacy Apprentice License

Preferred:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification
- Previous pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service experience
