Job Summary
The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides direct behavioral health services to individuals and families served by Granting Serenity Group LLC.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides supportive behavioral health services under the clinical supervision of the LMHP. The QMHP assists with service delivery, skills training, case coordination, and documentation in accordance with Virginia DBHDS QMHP qualification criteria and Medicaid/DMAS requirements. This role operates under the direct oversight of a Licensed Mental Health Professional and does not function at an independent clinical level.
Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health skill-building services, psychoeducation, and supportive interventions to individuals and families under the clinical oversight of the LMHP.
- Implement treatment plan goals developed by the LMHP and document progress toward those goals.
- Assist individuals in developing coping skills, daily living skills, and community integration strategies.
- Coordinate services across care settings, including schools, primary care, and community
- resources, with direction from the LMHP.
- Communicate client updates, safety concerns, and service barriers to the supervising LMHP in a timely manner.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and natural supports.
- Complete all required service documentation accurately and on time, including progress notes, skills-training logs, and service authorization records.
- Submit documentation within agency-required timeframes and consistent with DBHDS and Medicaid/DMAS billing requirements.
- Maintain client records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable Virginia privacy laws.
- Participate in required supervision sessions with the LMHP.
- Attend and participate in agency trainings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
- Operate within the defined scope of QMHP practice as established by Virginia DBHDS and Medicaid/DMAS standards.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a human services field (psychology, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, or related area) and a minimum of one (1) year of direct mental health experience; Or Associate's degree in a human services field and a minimum of two (2) years of direct mental
- health experience; OR
- Meet Virginia DBHDS QMHP qualification criteria as defined in 12VAC35-105.
- Must be registered or certified as a QMHP consistent with Virginia Medicaid/DMAS requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.

Pay: $27.00 - $36.00 per hour
