Summary:
Assists both clinical and medical staff to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patients. Completes rounding as directed, reports any issues to supervisor/manager immediately. Acts as liaison between staff and patients to promote consistent and timely intervention. Assists with the admission/discharge processes as requested. Participates as a member of the treatment team in a manner consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of Catholic Health.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- High school diploma

NYS driver's license required

Associate degree in Substance abuse, Human Services or Criminal Justice and preferred
EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year experience working in a behavior health or allied field required

2 years' direct patient care working with individuals with substance abuse and/or mental Health diagnosis preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Able to demonstrate basic knowledge of substance use disorders and the recovery process

Experience with and aptitude for basic computer skills

Able to communicate directly , using clinical language

Employs a consistent patient centered approach
