Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Must hold a valid teaching certificate with a Visual Impairment (VI) endorsement or possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) strongly desired.
- Preference given to those who have experience teaching Braille.
- Reliable transportation is essential for itinerant assignments across elementary campuses.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, families, and support staff to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students with visual impairments, adapting materials and strategies to meet IEP goals.
- Teach Braille and/or support accessible technology as needed.
- Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school teams.
- Travel between assigned schools as part of an itinerant schedule.
- Advocate for the needs and accommodations of visually impaired students within the general education environment.
