Position Summary
An established, high-end dental laboratory is seeking an experienced Dental CAD/CAM Designer to join our growing digital team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing comprehensive crown, bridge, and implant-supported restorations. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills who thrives in a modern digital workflow and consistently delivers exceptional restorative designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Design: Fabricate high-quality dental restorations utilizing advanced laboratory CAD/CAM software.
- Fixed Restorations: Design standard and complex multi-unit crown and bridge cases.
- Implant Prosthetics: Create custom abutments, screw-retained, and cement-retained implant-supported restorations.
- Advanced Cases: Execute complex full-arch implant restoration designs (including hybrid and full-arch zirconia prostheses).
- Workflow Integration: Utilize leading industry software systems to manage digital workflows from initial scan review to production readiness.
- Data Synthesis: Review and integrate digital intraoral scans, physical model scans, and advanced digital impression data to ensure precise implant positioning.
- Quality & Collaboration: Partner with production teams and technicians to troubleshoot design challenges, ensure quality control standards, and achieve optimal esthetic and functional outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of dedicated dental CAD/CAM design experience within a laboratory setting.
- Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency with major digital dentistry design platforms (e.g., 3Shape, exocad).
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and crown/bridge design principles.
- Advanced Workflows: Proven experience handling complex implant restorations, custom abutments, and complex full-arch digital rehabilitations.
- Precision Scanning: Familiarity with advanced digital impression, verification, and scanning technologies.
- Attributes: Strong communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with multiple major implant systems and open-architecture digital workflows.
- Material knowledge spanning zirconia, PMMA, titanium, and hybrid materials.
- Exposure to guided surgery planning, 3D printing, and milling unit production workflows.
