The Career Services and Student Success Manager owns the most important stretch of the student journey at The Training Center: the transition from graduation to employment. This position engages students as they near program completion, keeps motivation and momentum high through licensing and certification, and connects graduates to career opportunities through an actively managed network of hiring managers, employers, and industry partners. The role also celebrates student wins at scale, capturing certification milestones from our high-volume EPA and CPO online courses and turning them into reviews, social proof, and success stories that support enrollment growth, while ensuring our credentialing practices meet state and federal requirements.

Student Success & Graduation Engagement

Engage students individually and in groups as they approach graduation, building clear nextstep plans for licensing, certification, and employment.

Motivate and coach students to maintain high engagement through the final phase

of their program, including attendance, exam preparation, and completion milestones.

Deliver classroom presentations and workshops on job readiness, resumes,
interviewing, and employer expectations across our career programs (HVAC,
Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, and Boiler/Plant Operations).

Monitor graduates through licensure and certification exams, reengaging those who stall and partnering with instructors on individual success plans.

Serve as a consistent, trusted point of contact for students during the transition from
classroom to career.
Career Placement & Employer Network

Build, manage, and grow a network of hiring managers, employers, and industry partners actively hiring in the trades.

Match graduating students to open positions and coordinate the referrals, introductions, and interviews that lead to job offers.

Organize hiring events, employer visits, and job fairs that connect students directly with employers.

Track placement outcomes for every graduate, including employment status, employer, role, and time to hire.

Maintain relationships with alumni to support longterm career growth and generate
repeat hiring demand from employer partners.
Certification Milestones & Success Stories

Design and run a repeatable process to capture certification moments in our high volume online programs (EPA 608 and CPO) as passing certificates are issued.

Convert certification wins into Google reviews, testimonials, and social media content that showcase student achievement.

Identify standout graduate stories across all programs and package them for the website, social channels, and enrollment campaigns.

Grow review volume and rating quality across platforms as a measurable driver of
enrollment.
Marketing & Program Quality Support

Support the marketing team with graduate outcome data, placement statistics, an student stories for campaigns and content.

Gather structured feedback from graduating students and employer partners and share findings with program leadership to strengthen program quality.

Report placement rates, student engagement metrics, and review growth to
leadership on a regular schedule.

Ensure credentials and passing certificates are issued accurately, on time, and in accordance with state and federal requirements.

Maintain complete, auditready records of certifications, licenses, and placement documentation.

Stay current on regulatory requirements affecting credentialing and career programs, and flag changes to leadership.

Support reporting requirements for state agencies and approval bodies as needed.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business, Education, Communications, Marketing,
Human Resources, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.

3+ years of experience in career services, workforce development, recruiting, staffing, student services, or a similar relationshipdriven role.

Proven ability to build and manage relationships with employers, hiring managers, or business partners.

Experience coaching, advising, or motivating students, candidates, or clients toward a goal.

Comfortable capturing and creating content for social media, reviews, and testimonials; experience growing Google reviews or similar platforms is a plus.

Proficient with CRM systems and comfortable tracking data, maintaining records, and reporting on outcomes.

Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, particularly for compliance documentation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional, energetic, and dependable in a team environment.

Familiarity with the skilled trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, boiler/plant operations, pool operations) is a plus.

Proficient in Mac software and Google Workspace.
