Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team. The Security Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Seattle, Washington.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the facility, patients, staff, and visitors
- Conduct regular security assessments and identify potential risks or vulnerabilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility, including screening visitors, issuing visitor badges, and monitoring security cameras
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, including theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed
- Train staff on security protocols and procedures
- Conduct regular drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of security measures
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to security incidents and activities
- Stay up-to-date on security best practices and industry developments to continuously improve security measures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to security and emergency preparedness
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local laws related to security
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
