American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1.5+ years of experience for a day shift position at an acute care hospital serving both adult and pediatric populations.

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
-
Every other weekend requirement (Friday and Saturday)

Mixed adult and pediatric patient population
-
Procedures include blood gas analysis, ventilator/BiPAP/high flow initiation and management, code response, in-house transport, medication administration, and chest PT
-
Equipment includes Servo I & U and V60 BiPAP
-
Charting via Epic (experience required)

Float requirement includes PICU, ED, and adult critical care; additional float units may apply based on skill set and hospital needs

Minimum 1.5 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required; PICU/NICU experience highly preferred
-
Active NJ or Compact RRT license required at time of consideration; license required if applicable

NBRC certification required

BLS required
-
ACLS, PALS, and NRP highly preferred; can be obtained onsite

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Two current references required for consideration

Copies of certifications required for consideration

Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
