Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial areas, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed.
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met consistently.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
- Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items like furniture or supplies with proper technique to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of surfaces by applying appropriate cleaning detergents and disinfectants.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage time efficiently to complete daily tasks within scheduled hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure all janitorial supplies are stocked and properly stored; report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to uphold sanitation standards across all work areas.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including dusting, floor cleaning, carpet care, and surface sanitation.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Ability to handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- Experience with laundry operations and outdoor work is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning detergents, sanitation procedures, and janitorial best practices.
