Job Overview
UWS is seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team that are willing to travel. The ideal candidate will have experience in building and fabricating structures using various welding techniques. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the structures and following relevant AWS and AISC codes and standards.
Duties
- Construct and weld metal structures and buildings, using stick welding methods.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the location and configuration of welding points.
- Ensure that all welds meet or exceed industry standards and codes.
- Conduct quality control checks to identify any defects or issues with the welds.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in structural welding a MUST!!
- Knowledge of welding codes and standards D1.1.
- Experience with stick welding and other welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Certification as a structural welder is preferred.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
