Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiving/Home Health Aids to provide exceptional in-home and community-based care to individuals of all ages. In this vital role, you will support clients with daily activities, medical needs, and emotional well-being, fostering independence and enhancing quality of life. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or walkers
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting changes promptly
- Support clients with specialized care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, memory care, hospice, or developmental disabilities
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment for clients
- Use medical terminology appropriately when documenting patient records or communicating with healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical procedures such as catheter care, wound management, and hospice support
- Certifications in CPR and first aid are required; additional certifications such as medication administration or dementia care are advantageous
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate excellent patient observation skills
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation practices
- Compassionate attitude with strong communication skills for working with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often necessary for home visits
