Maintenance Assistant
Come join us at Mount Carmel Care Center! We are a Faith-Based, Non-Profit, boutique-sized Long-Term Care facility (69 beds), nestled in the heart of the Berkshires. Twice voted "Best of the Berkshires," we are sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 2013 and maintain a mission-based environment for our staff and residents.
We are seeking to hire a Maintenance Assistant.
- 32 hours/week schedule.
- $18 to $24 per hour based on skills and experience.
Maintenance Assistant Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE with maintenance and repairs including patch/painting, wallpapering, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE utilizing floor maintenance equipment.
Maintenance Assistant Job Summary:
- Complete daily maintenance/custodial assignments with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs including painting, wallpapering, plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical and HVAC repairs.
- Maintain floors using heavy floor equipment, floor waxing, etc.
- Report maintenance needs, equipment malfunctions, defective equipment, and unsafe or hazardous conditions to Maintenance Supervisor or Director.
