At RFB, we specialize in seeding, hydroseeding, mulching, erosion control, SWPPP, SWPPP Design, utility work, site concrete, concrete flatwork, ditch liners, misc curb & gutter, concrete paving, box bridges, culverts, precast, site grading, dump truck and end dump hauling, offering comprehensive general and sub-contracting services to meet our clients' diverse needs, including assistance in fulfilling their DBE goals.
What You'll Do
As a General Laborer, you'll work alongside experienced crews performing a variety of field tasks that keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Installing erosion control products including silt fence, filter socks, biologs, blankets, and sod
Preparing and maintaining jobsites through digging, grading, raking, and debris removal
Loading, unloading, and organizing materials and supplies
Operating hand tools and basic power equipment safely
Assisting equipment operators with positioning and communication
Keeping project sites and shop areas clean and organized
Using mobile technology to document work progress and capture project photos
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates are:
Dependable and willing to work outdoors in changing conditions
Able to follow verbal and written instructions
Comfortable working as part of a team
Adaptable to changing priorities and job assignments
Capable of basic math and using mobile applications for project documentation
Previous construction or erosion control experience is helpful but not required—we're willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.
A valid driver's license is preferred.
Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires:
Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
Standing and walking for extended periods
Frequent bending, kneeling, digging, and manual labor
Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Occasional overnight travel, weekend work, or night shifts based on project needs
