In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Duties
- Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on established treatment plans, focusing on skill development and behavior management for children and individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to ensure effective implementation of behavior intervention plans
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care tasks to promote independence
- Support clients during educational activities by teaching new skills and reinforcing positive behaviors in accordance with therapeutic goals
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies
- Collaborate with team members to adjust intervention strategies based on data insights and client needs
- Uphold patient care standards by adhering to ethical guidelines, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring a safe environment during all interactions
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles is advantageous
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively teach, motivate, and support clients and their families
- Ability to collect detailed data accurately and maintain meticulous documentation for progress tracking
- Compassionate attitude with patience and enthusiasm for working with diverse populations in behavioral health settings
