About This Role
Roxbury Day Care Center is currently looking for individuals to work part-time afternoons from 2:30 to 6:00 PM. Ideal candidates will possess some childcare experience, patience, and compassion towards young children.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
The primary focus is to ensure the care, safety, and well-being of all children in the group.
Implementing simple activities that cater to their age group's developmental needs is essential. These activities may include outside games, rainy or snowy day activities, games, and simple art projects.
Assisting with cleaning duties such as washing tables before and after snack, as well as at the end of the shift, is a necessary task.
Applicants should possess a positive attitude and be willing to work as a team player.
Positions are available in Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Classrooms.
Requirements

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Ability to act as mediator between children.

Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods

Excellent communication and instructional skills
Nice To Haves

Having a Child Development Associate Certification is highly desirable.
