Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders using POS systems such as Toast POS
- Prepare bagels, spreads, sandwiches, and other menu items following food safety and quality standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to ensure timely food production.
- Manage customer transactions accurately, processing cash, credit card payments, and handling cash register operations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food prep areas, dining space, and equipment.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety standards.
- Support retail sales transactions by assisting customers with product selections and stocking supplies as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or café environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure prompt service.
- Knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and giving accurate change.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude.
