Position Title: Inventory & Receiving Specialist
Department: Production Support / Warehouse Operations

Job Summary
The Inventory & Receiving Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels while supporting all receiving and material handling activities at the facility. This role ensures incoming materials are verified, properly documented, stored correctly, and accurately reflected in the ERP system. The position also oversees inventory controls, cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and supports daily warehouse floor operations. Forklift operation and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Material Handling
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and system records
- Safely operate powered material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Label, stage, and store materials in designated locations following facility procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation and system entry of all received materials
- Communicate discrepancies to the Site Manager and coordinate resolution as needed
Inventory Management & Control
- Maintain accurate inventory levels using established minimum and maximum thresholds
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts in accordance with company standards
- Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Execute all inventory transactions within the ERP system with a high level of accuracy
Operational & Floor Support
- Support warehouse and production floor operations to ensure compliant inventory and receiving processes
- Coordinate with Operations Specialist to schedule inventory needs based on production demand
- Work closely with the Site Manager to maintain inventory accuracy, controls, and process improvements
- Provide hands-on support to ensure workflows are followed correctly and efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure overall facility success
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, receiving, material handling, or warehouse operations
- Forklift experience required (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Proficient in basic computer usage; Microsoft Excel and Word required
- Experience working within an ERP or inventory management system
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently, follow structured procedures, and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. without assistance
- Comfortable working up to 8 hours in a non-climate-controlled environment
