National Lift Truck of Arkansas is seeking an experienced customer service-oriented Field Service Mechanic/Technician to join the service team at our growing, family-owned company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience diagnosing, repairing, and performing scheduled maintenance on all makes and models of forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers, and other heavy equipment – including gas, propane, diesel, and electric-powered units. You must be confident in diagnosing complex issues, accurately quoting repairs, and servicing a variety of material handling equipment and aerial lifts while delivering excellent service to customers in the field. What You Will Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of material handling equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Accurately quote repair work including parts, labor, and time estimates (backed by a fully staffed parts department and service writer)
- Communicate clearly with service managers and the service writer about job scope and timelines
- Complete all work orders and documentation accurately
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized service van and workspace
- Stay current with OEM standards and industry safety practices
- Travel daily throughout the Springdale, AR service area in a company-provided service van
What We Are Looking For
- Strong equipment diagnostic and problem-solving skills for gas, propane, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable working independently and representing the company professionally while out in the field.
- Strong time management skills; able to prioritize and manage your own schedule
- Clear, proactive communicator who keeps the team informed on job status
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, forklift technician, or lift mechanic
- Working knowledge of brands such as Unicarriers, Clark, Genie, JLG, Skytrack, Hoist, and others
- Experience accurately quoting repair work
- Basic computer proficiency
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must have own tools suitable for heavy equipment (specialty tools provided)
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally more
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

- $28.00 - $35.00, based on experience
