Johnson Hospitality Venues is growing and preparing for a busy and exciting season. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time custodian to join our team. Position Overview
As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in ensuring our venues remain clean, organized, and guest-ready before and after events. This position requires efficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, event-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect all areas of responsibility for cleanliness, safety, and maintenance needs
- Perform routine cleaning of event spaces, restrooms, common areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Set up and break down cleaning stations and maintain supply levels throughout events
- Coordinate with Direct Managers to ensure spaces remain clean and presentable at all times
- Manage trash collection, recycling, and disposal in accordance with company procedures
- Assist with post-event breakdown and deep cleaning to reset venue for future use
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs
- Attend company and departmental meetings, as required
Qualifications
- Prior custodial, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred (but not required)
- Availability to work weekends, early mornings and late evenings
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Basic organizational and time management skills
- Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude
- Reliable transportation required; able to drive large company cargo van at times
