Duties
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousine services, and personal delivery vehicles on designated local routes
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and state transportation regulations during every trip
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with passengers and clients, addressing their needs courteously and professionally
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, including those requiring special accommodations such as paratransit or medical transportation services
- Manage GPS navigation systems effectively to follow the most efficient routes and ensure timely arrivals
- Handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading cargo or equipment
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver with a strong safety record
- Knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes for efficient route planning
- Familiarity with passenger vehicle operation including passenger vans, limousines, school buses, or medical transportation vehicles
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
- Understanding of traffic regulations at the local, state, and federal levels governing commercial driving and passenger transport
- Experience with vehicle maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a professional demeanor at all times
