Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology - Surgical Oncology for our client in North Carolina!
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical care across both inpatient and outpatient practice settings.
- Manage a daily patient volume averaging 15 patients per shift.
- Support a department utilizing a 60–90 bed capacity while ensuring the facility's stroke-certified standards are met.
- Coordinate specialized care workflows for gastroenterology and surgical oncology patients, completing all associated documentation.
Qualifications
- Certified Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Gastroenterology and Surgical Oncology.
- Active state medical license.
- Required certification includes BLS.
Schedule
- Coverage Needed: Active clinical coverage requested for the block spanning November 9, 2026 – March 20, 2027.
- Shift Structure: Scheduled clinical hours only within a combined inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Call Requirements: Standard clinical hours only with no call requirements.
- Credentialing Time Frame: 60–90 days (Temporary privileges are not available).
Skills
- Strong clinical proficiency in managing gastroenterology and surgical oncology patients across inpatient and outpatient care environments.
- Ability to maintain a steady clinical pace with 15 patients per shift and manage care within a 60–90 bed department.
- High efficiency in managing documentation, care plans, and clinical workflow tracking.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills to interface effectively with multidisciplinary hospital specialty teams.
All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
