Harvest Scale Operator
Locations: Cambell, Giltner, Hansen, Hastings, Holstein, Prosser, Red Cloud, Roseland, & Sutton, NE
Pay: $18.00/hour
Looking for a seasonal opportunity to earn extra income during harvest? We're hiring Harvest Scale Operators at multiple locations for the 2026 harvest season. This is a fast-paced position ideal for someone who is organized, dependable and enjoys working in an agricultural environment.
Position Details
- Seasonal position lasting approximately 4–6 weeks
- Start date: September 8, 2026
- Hours vary and include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and extended shifts
- Expect to work 6–7 days per week during harvest
- Applicants must be available to work the entire harvest season with no planned time off
Job Responsibilities
- Weigh inbound and outbound grain using the scale system
- Grade and test grain and wheat
- Collect grain samples using a grain probe
- Operate moisture testing equipment
- Accurately complete required paperwork
- Answer phones and assist customers in a professional manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Computer experience required
- Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
- Good customer service and communication skills
