Candidates may be hired as either a Welder B or Welder A, depending on their experience, skills, and welding test results during the hiring process.
Once employed, welders have the opportunity to advance through Austin Engineering's internal welder progression program by successfully completing company weld qualification tests. Employees who demonstrate the required skills and workmanship can progress through the following career path:

Welder B - $25.61 hourly rate

Welder A - $31.29 hourly rate

Combination (Combo) Welder - $35.46 hourly rate

Master Welder – Earn up to $37.07 per hour

Austin Engineering USA is seeking skilled Structural Welders to fabricate and repair heavy mining equipment using a variety of welding processes. You'll work on large structural components including truck bodies, buckets, cable reels, and water tanks while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Perform GMAW-P (MIG) and FCAW welding on heavy structural components.

Weld in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.

Operate air arc equipment, oxy-fuel torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.

Inspect completed welds and repair defects as needed.

Read and follow welding procedures, drawings, and supervisor instructions.

Safely operate overhead hoists and handle heavy materials.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Experience with GMAW-P (MIG) and FCAW welding.

Ability to pass a structural welding test.

Experience using air arc and oxy-fuel cutting equipment preferred.

Ability to work safely in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
