Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chiropractic and Medical Billing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing medical and chiropractic billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating smooth reimbursement workflows. This role requires a strong understanding of medical and chiropractic coding standards, billing procedures, and electronic health record systems. The Chiropractic Billing Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our practice while providing excellent support to our clinical staff and patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit insurance claims using CPT coding, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards
- Review and verify medical records and documentation for billing accuracy
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims or collections
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance policies
- Utilize EMR and EHR systems to document billing activities and update patient records
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim denials or inquiries
- Assist in maintaining accurate medical records and documentation related to billing processes
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing codes and healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or collections within a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10, ICD coding, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with EMR systems and EHR platforms used in chiropractic or medical offices
- Excellent understanding of medical records management and medical office procedures
- Ability to interpret complex insurance policies and coordinate with insurance providers
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
- Prior experience with medical coding and billing software is preferred
- Knowledge of medical collection processes is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
