Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing infrastructure meets safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and fittings on construction sites or during remodeling projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete installations and repairs efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation and longevity
- Collaborate with construction teams including carpenters, HVAC technicians, and general contractors to coordinate work efforts
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using technical knowledge of plumbing systems and HVAC components
- Follow all safety guidelines related to construction site experience, welding procedures, and heavy machinery operation
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in construction plumbing projects
- Hands-on experience with pipe threading, schematics reading, and mechanical troubleshooting in commercial or residential settings
- Familiarity with welding techniques relevant to plumbing applications
- Knowledge of HVAC systems as they relate to plumbing integration is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and basic math skills for precise measurements
- Field service experience working on remodeling or maintenance projects is highly desirable
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is advantageous for travel between job sites
- Carpentry or handyman experience can be beneficial for versatile project support
