- Maintains current knowledge of all popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipes.

Reviews Event Order to determine function requirements.

Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, garnish, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.

Serves wine, draft and bottled beer in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Prepares all necessary mixers and garnishes prior to start of service and during shift as needed.
-
Collects payment for drinks when event is cash bar.
-
Maintains accurate liquor, wine and beer cost.
-
Ensures all products sold are entered correctly in the P.O.S. system.
-
Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies for each day’s business by completing the Commissary Order Sheet, places the completed form in the bar area folder.

Picks up and returns the bar area folder to the Food & Beverage Office daily.

Sets up bar in accordance with company procedures
-
Maintains cleanliness of the bar and surrounding areas.
-
Wipes tables and bar area down daily.
-
Ties up trash bags as needed and before leaving at the end of the shift.
-
Places trash bags outside of the bar for pickup at the end of shift.
-
Pours approximately 1/2 cup of ammonia down all drains daily.
-
Washes all glassware daily.
-
Places clean glassware in the appropriate glass storage area.
-
Ensures clean linens are placed on tables outside of bar area.
-
Rolls silverware daily.
-
Replenishes all snacks and condiments as often as needed.
-
Returns all dirty dishes to kitchen at the end of the shift. If kitchen is closed please rinse off dishes.

Takes accurate inventory of all products at opening and closing of each shift; completes inventory control paperwork.

Follows cash handling policies and procedures.
-
Assists customers in a professional manner as often as needed or as directed by management.

Assist in other areas as needed or when directed by management.
-
Contributes to a friendly and productive work environment; reports concerns directly to Food & Beverage Supervisor.

Knows and understands the proper operation of all job-related equipment.
-
Observes all related safety procedures when handling equipment, liquids, dishes, etc.
-
Uses proper protective equipment as directed at all times.
-
Uses the proper lifting techniques when handling trays, dishes, and similar items.
-
Attends all departmental and company-mandated meetings as required.

Immediately reports all workplace injuries to the Food & Beverage Supervisor.

Reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or equipment to the Food & Beverage Supervisor.

Knows all appropriate first aid kit(s) locations and eyewash stations.
-
Knows the location of the fire-fighting equipment and fire exits for the area.
-
Maintains clean uniform at all times.

Other duties as assigned.
Education:
-
High school diploma or GED; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or combination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Agylysis (or other Food & Beverage point-of-sale system) experience preferred.

Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
-
Excellent customer service and communications skills required. Ability to apply common understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardize situations.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capacity write simple correspondence and possess basic mathematical skills.

Outgoing personality and positive attitude.

Strong knowledge of bar operations, service procedures and function.

Basic math skills.

Ability to handle money and operate a cash register quickly and efficiently.

Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).

Excellent communication skills required. Bilingual skills helpful, but not required.

Training:

Five years of bartending experience required.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency if applicable to perform the essential job functions

- Serve-safe certified (Food Handlers)
