Job Summary:
As a Host/Hostess, you’re the first smile our guests see and the last goodbye they remember. You are responsible for creating a warm, welcoming, and organized front-of-house experience. From greeting every guest to managing waitlists and seating, to assisting in bussing and cleaning tables, you help set the tone for an exceptional Rise N Shine experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests enthusiastically and with genuine hospitality as they enter the diner
- Manage seating flow using our waitlist/reservation system (e.g., Toast, Yelp, etc.)
- Accurately quote wait times and communicate with guests kindly and efficiently
- Maintain the appearance of the host stand, entryway, and front-of-house areas
- Assist with taking to-go orders or answering the phone during slower periods
- Coordinate with servers and bussers to ensure seamless table turnover by cleaning and bussing tables
- Uphold all Rise N Shine cleanliness and safety standards
- Help create a fun, positive atmosphere that reflects the Rise N Shine brand
Qualifications:
- Friendly, outgoing, and people-first attitude
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask under pressure
- Weekend availability (especially for brunch rushes!)
- Previous hosting or customer service experience is a plus, but not required we’ll train the right personality
- Team player mindset with a passion for hospitality
