Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Aloha or Micros POS systems, ensuring all details are captured correctly.
- Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials to enhance the guest experience.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tips.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction with their dining experience.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant procedures and service standards as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha, Micros, or OpenTable is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations and customer service.
