Associate Therapist (AMFT/APCC/ASW)
Location: Los Angeles, CA | Hybrid/Telehealth
Employment Type: Part-time/Full-time
Compensation: $50 per session/hour
Supervision: Weekly clinical supervision provided
About the Practice
Sol Shine Wellness Group is a growing group psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to adolescents and adults. Our practice is an insurance-based group committed to providing high-quality and specialized mental health care to clients navigating anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
We are seeking a thoughtful, compassionate Associate Therapist who is excited to grow as a clinician while working within a supportive and collaborative practice environment.
Position Overview
The Associate Therapist will provide individual and group therapy to clients under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This position is ideal for a therapist who wants to develop their clinical skills, build confidence as a clinician, and gain experience working with a diverse caseload.
The ideal candidate is curious, relational, compassionate, and committed to providing evidence-based, culturally responsive care. We value therapists who are open to learning and developing their own clinical identity rather than expecting one specific therapeutic style.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy to assigned clients under appropriate clinical supervision
- Co-facilitate and/or independently lead therapy groups based on clinical interests and practice needs
- Complete timely and clinically appropriate documentation, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment goals in collaboration with clients
- Utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions appropriate to each client's needs
- Participate in regular individual supervision and consultation
- Maintain appropriate professional and ethical standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and, when appropriate, other members of a client's treatment team
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with applicable legal and ethical requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical training

Experience or interest in any of the following is especially welcome:
- Anxiety and mood disorders
- OCD
- Eating disorders and disordered eating
- Trauma and PTSD
- Relationship concerns
- Life transitions
- Attachment and family-of-origin concerns
- Perfectionism and self-worth
Training in or interest in CBT, ERP, I-CBT, EMDR, IFS, ACT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, or other evidence-based approaches is a plus, but not required.
What We Offer
- Weekly individual clinical supervision
- A supportive, collaborative practice environment
- Opportunities to develop specialized clinical skills
- Flexible scheduling
- Hybrid/telehealth/in-person flexibility
- Administrative support to reduce the burden of running a private practice
- Opportunities for professional growth as the practice expands
- A caseload aligned with your clinical interests and experience
- A practice culture that values authenticity, compassion, and ongoing learning
We are deeply committed to the professional development and growth of our clinicians. Associate therapists receive excellent, consistent clinical supervision with an emphasis on thoughtful case conceptualization, skill development, and building confidence as an independent clinician. We believe supervision is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, receive meaningful feedback, and develop your own clinical voice.
We also value ongoing education and encourage clinicians to pursue training in areas that align with their interests and career goals. As the practice grows, there are opportunities to expand clinical skills, develop specialty areas, facilitate groups, and take on additional professional responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Registered Associate (AMFT, APCC, ASW)
- Ability to provide psychotherapy under appropriate supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centered care
- Reliable and organized approach to clinical documentation and professional responsibilities
