We are currently hiring Medical Assistants for multiple locations, including Pontiac, Sterling Heights, Troy, and Royal Oak.
The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our practice. This position is responsible for assisting providers with patient intake, obtaining vital signs, maintaining accurate electronic medical records, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The MA may also assist with phone triage, administrative tasks, and collaboration with clinical and front-office staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for office visits by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and medication information.
- Perform clinical laboratory duties, including urinalysis (UA), administering IM/SQ injections, and properly processing laboratory specimens.
- Prepare patient charts and obtain medical records prior to scheduled appointments.
- Triage patient phone calls and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Obtain prior authorizations for medications and scheduled procedures.
- Assist with front desk and clerical responsibilities as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and laboratory areas.
- Support physicians, nurse practitioners, and team members in providing high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant Certificate or degree required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records preferred.

Language Requirements
Certifications, Licenses & Transportation
- Medical Assistant Certificate required.
- Valid Michigan driver’s license required.
- Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance required.
Work Environment
This position is primarily performed in a medical office setting during regular business hours. The work environment requires professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and courteous demeanor.
