Job Summary: The Junior Ice Skating Instructor will be responsible for assisting the Lead Instructor with teaching recreational beginner skating classes, with safety and technique as the primary focus.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Help teach participants in the program from age 3-18 years old

Follow class curriculum as provided by class instructor/supervisor

Learn information about Ice Skating programs
- Attend staff meetings as scheduled

Work collaboratively with other staff as needed
- Be a positive role model for students

Help with motivational support and guidance to participants

Actively support the agencys risk management protocol that will effectively control and reduce accidents

Obey the practical safety rules, regulations and procedures established by the Safety Committee, attend and participate in required safety trainings

Promptly report all unsafe actions, practices or conditions to the immediate supervisor

Perform other related duties as assigned, based on agency needs

Education and/or Experience:
- Must be at least 15 years of age

Must have experience in ice skating at an advanced level
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position including standing, bending, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and lifting
