GROUNDS SPECIALIST (Driver)
Support professional arborists and climbers while ensuring safe, efficient tree care operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with tree pruning, removals, and plant health care operations
- Manage debris, operate chippers, and maintain clean job sites
- Handle and maintain equipment including ropes, rigging gear, and power tools
- Transport crew, equipment, and materials to job sites
- Support climbers with ground-based rigging and safety operations
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License with 5-year Clean MVR Record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Commitment to safety protocols
- Good teamwork and communication skills
CLIMBER (Driver)
Perform aerial tree care operations while mentoring team members and maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct tree pruning, removals, cabling, and bracing per ANSI A300 standards
- Perform aerial inspections and assess tree health and structural integrity
- Execute proper rigging techniques for safe limb removal and lowering
- Identify tree species, diseases, pests, and structural defects
- Mentor and train Grounds Specialists
- Maintain and inspect climbing equipment daily
- Operate stump grinders, chippers, and other tree care equipment
Requirements:
- Proficiency in climbing knots, hitches, and rigging
- Knowledge of climbing equipment and safety practices
- Tree identification skills
- Previous climbing experience preferred
- ISA Certified Tree Climber preferred but not required
Physical Demands (Both Roles): Outdoor work in all weather conditions, lifting 50+ lbs, standing for extended periods, early start times, exposure to machinery and potential hazards.
