Job Summary:
Responsible for overall preparation of meals compliant with Diet Orders, menu specifications, Company Policies, State and Federal Laws, Dietary/Sanitary Regulations under supervision of Dietary Supervisor and Manager; receives incoming grocery orders and supplies; assists with maintaining adequate inventory and accurate inventory records; maintains high standards of quality in food preparation and service; must communicate courteously, respectfully with Employees, Residents and others; must maintain high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene
Qualifications:
Experience in large-scale cooking services is preferred; on-the-job training will be provided; must be in good physical condition, able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions to accomplish job duties; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check
Duties and Responsibilities:
Immediately ensures any liquids on floor are cleaned; reports other Safety Hazards to Maintenance Supervisor
If requested, serves on Safety Committee and participates in Safety Meetings and Safety Audits
Complies with Infection Control Policies; reports contact with infectious disease to Infection Control Nurse
Assists with food orders, receiving and checking in supplies, storing food and maintaining inventory
