Are you a motivated Technician Assistant who enjoys being part of a fast-paced medical team and making a real difference behind the scenes? Our Evening Shift ER/ICU Technician Assistant role is ideal for someone who thrives during the busiest hours of the hospital and loves supporting patients, clients, and clinical teams when it matters most.
You’ll work closely with veterinarians and credentialed technicians from multiple specialties, helping keep the ER/ICU running smoothly while gaining hands-on experience in emergency and critical care medicine.
What You’ll Do
Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
Safely restrain patients and support procedures as directed
Prepare supplies, equipment, and treatment areas
Collect and run basic diagnostics as trained
Clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment
Support accurate documentation and workflow in the EMR
Communicate clearly and calmly with team members in high-stress situations
Follow AAHA standards, hospital protocols, and core values

Requirements
Previous experience working with animals in a clinical, shelter, or veterinary setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Comfort working in a busy, high-acuity environment
Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems
Ability to stand, lift, and assist with animal handling for extended periods
Preferred
Veterinary Assistant or Technician Assistant experience
Enrollment in or interest in a Veterinary Technology program
Prior experience in emergency or specialty medicine
