Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a
Document Control Specialist II with our large power and utilities client in Lake Mary, FL. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description:
This position is responsible for filing Enterprise Transmission Major Equipment (i.e. Transformers/regulators, breakers, regulators, switches, instrument transformers, reactors, capacitors, etc.) documentation (drawings, Test reports, Instr books, parts lists, and photos) in a data management system (i.e. CastPro, etc). When filing this documentation, metadata must be extracted and placed in the dB so that this documentation can be easily found in the future when needed for troubleshooting or replacement. This position can be located anywhere within the territory.
At this level an incumbent functions under general supervision, expected to have a working knowledge of technical procedures related to the work unit, reviews and analyzes technical data as well as handles routine problems independently. This includes the following:
- Uploading information into a document management system (CastPro, etc.) including equipment drawings, test reports, instruction manuals, photos, etc.
- Retrieving and uploading meta data (manufacturer, equipment type, Serial #, Item #, PO #, drawing type, drawing numbers, page, revision #’s, etc.) from the before mentioned equipment drawings, test reports, instruction manuals, photos, etc. into the document management system to ensure the documents are searchable and retrievable in the future.
- Routing, tracking and coordinating equipment design reviews (drawings) with design engineering, asset management, and manufacturers.
- Reviews technical work produced by self and others to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Supporting the on-time filing of engineering documentation for Transmission Major equipment into the document management system to support design engineering and provide related support to Designers and Engineers as needed.
- Provides non-administrative support to engineers as needed.
- Must exhibit good judgment, be able to set work- related priorities and make effective business decisions.
- Facilitates communication with internal and external customers to complete technical tasks.
- Maintains and updates technical documentation in accordance with established work procedures.
- Perform technical data requests (compiles, organizes, uploads, etc data in databases and programs, etc).
- Utilizes and maintains software systems (e.g. CastPro, Maximo, etc.) and hardware (printers, plotters, scanners, etc) as necessary for job-specific responsibilities.
- Develops and/or reviews selected correspondence, reports, schedules, and/or technical documentation.
- Reviews technical work produced by self and others to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Makes appropriate modifications and recommendations as necessary.
- Perform routine and detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced, results driven environment.
- Appropriately selects and utilizes the most effective tools, methods and technologies to complete assignments.

- Possess basic understanding of various types of engineering documents including drawings, instruction books, and technical reports
- Possess basic understanding of major Transmission equipment (i.e. Transformers/regulators, breakers, regulators, switches, instrument transformers, reactors, capacitors, etc.)
- Enhanced Computer skills (Excel, OneNote)
- Good communication skills
