Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Process cash transactions accurately, handle credit card payments via POS systems like Toast or other platforms, and manage cash handling responsibilities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including food safety standards, wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail recipes to assist guests effectively
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support sanitation protocols to uphold health standards and ensure a safe dining environment for all guests
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing bills seamlessly
