What you’ll do
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive treatments while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and patient record management.
- Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a friendly atmosphere for young patients.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, enhancing the efficiency of the dental team.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary choices, and the importance of regular check-ups.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized treatment plans that align with general dentistry practices.
Basic qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with medical imaging techniques
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or office setting
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques
