We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Registered Nurse (Weekend Supervisor) to lead and coordinate nursing care during weekend shifts. Duties
- Supervise nursing staff during weekend shifts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure optimal patient care delivery
- Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation to maintain accurate and comprehensive records
- Coordinate interdisciplinary team activities including physicians, therapists, and support staff to facilitate seamless patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information
- Manage emergency situations such as airway management, ventilator use, or acute pain episodes with prompt and effective interventions
- Conduct clinical audits and participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with healthcare standards like NCQA or JCAHO accreditation requirements
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic to document patient care activities accurately and efficiently
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice
- Proven supervisory experience in healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities
- Extensive clinical background including critical care experience (ICU, Level I/II Trauma Center), emergency medicine, or medical-surgical units
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology
- Experience working with diverse populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs
- Ability to perform physical examinations, venipuncture (phlebotomy), injection administration, and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication skills for team management and patient interactions
- Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and utilization review processes
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and other relevant credentials preferred
