Who are Catering + Logistics Crew at Bon Me?
The Catering + Logistics crew members are an integral part of the operations team that keeps Bon Me running. They are responsible for the execution of catering events and deliveries, as well as assisting movement of food, supplies and equipment throughout our company, and ultimately, to support the success of all our locations. Every day is different in this multifaceted role, whether it’s helping to prepare a big catering order at our home-base in Roxbury, delivering food and supplies to our restaurants, or running a food-truck at a private party.
What’s the Pay?
Pay for catering work starts at $16, plus tips ($7-$10 per hour expected in tips), with annual reviews and raises, and additional raises for taking on new responsibilities and skills.
Pay for logistics work starts at $20, without tips expected.
Depending on their schedule and preferences, employees can typically work in both roles in order to get more weekly hours.
Where do Logistics + Catering Crew fit in at Bon Me
Catering + Logistics crew are based out of our commissary at 148 Hampden Street in Boston. Shifts vary depending on the needs of the day, and are usually between 4-8 hours a day. Food-truck catering is seasonal, and during the busy season ( Apr- Oct ) schedules are busier, including nights and weekends.
Requirements for this role:
- A current drivers license
- Must be 18+
- The ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, repeated walking, bending, and the ability to lift 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Flexibility and time management: being able to show up on time and keep up with the rhythm of the day
- The ability to work independently: taking ownership of work and its quality
- A passion for food and the hunger to learn more about it
- A commitment to high standards while also having a positive attitude
