Experienced Machine Operator – Corrugated Manufacturing Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Machine Operator to join our dynamic corrugated box manufacturing plant. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of specialized converting equipment to produce high-quality packaging solutions.
We are looking for operators with direct experience running high-speed inline machinery who can ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and to exact customer specifications.
Shift & Compensation
- Shifts Available: 1st Shift and 2nd Shift
- Compensation: Competitive, Based on Experience (DOE)
Key Responsibilities
- Machinery Operation: Set up, calibrate, and safely operate specialized corrugated equipment, specifically focusing on EMBA Inline Diecutters, Flexo Folder Gluers, and ZLM/ZLR Flexo press systems.
- Setup & Optimization: Perform efficient setups and order changeovers, adjusting machinery components to optimize run speeds, minimize waste, and maintain tight structural tolerances.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot mechanical or calibration issues during production runs.
- Quality Control: Continuously monitor board quality and print registration, inspecting finished boxes for defects to ensure compliance with strict quality standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safety-first mindset, strictly adhering to company safety policies and OSHA regulations across all phases of production.
- Material Handling & Teamwork: Assist with manual handling, stacking, and staging of materials as needed, collaborating with crew members to keep the line moving efficiently.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating industrial manufacturing equipment in a corrugated or packaging plant environment.
- Machinery Expertise: Direct hands-on experience or strong familiarity with EMBA Inline Diecutters, Flexo Folder Gluers, or ZLM/ZLR Flexo systems is highly desirable.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and perform precise equipment adjustments.
- Industry Skills: Solid understanding of packaging production, board handling, and machinery calibration techniques.
- Forklift Skills: Knowledge of forklift operation is preferred; certification is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of handling the manual tasks and fast-paced physical demands of a high-volume manufacturing floor.
