The Barista includes the following responsibilities:
Greet and engage our customers. Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea. Barista responsibilities include learning our customers names and preferences, educating customers on our drink menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, and taking and fulfilling orders. To be successful in this role, you need strong customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You must be able to work weekends and Holidays. Note: this position’s compensation includes salary and tips. Your role is to ensure an excellent customer experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter, learn their names, get to know them!
- Answer any questions the customers have regarding the menu
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. their name, preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Prepare beverages following Starbucks Standards
- Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- This job requires standing for long periods of time and some lifting of boxes.
- Daily cleaning responsibilities of equipment and facilities
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers
Skills
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress preferred
- Must be organized and able to follow strict health and safety rules
- Must be able to multi task and adhere to cleanliness standards
- Must have flexible work schedule
- Basic math and computer skills
- Must be able to lift heavy boxes (cases of milk etc)
Work Remotely
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $25.00 per hour
