Our client is seeking an IT Manager to lead and oversee enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, and security. This role is responsible for the stability, performance, and protection of network, server, and end‑user environments, while also managing IT staff, vendors, and projects. The IT Manager combines strategic oversight with hands‑on technical leadership, ensuring IT services align with operational and business needs across office, production, and distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Infrastructure & Operations
Lead the maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints, and peripherals
Oversee LAN/WAN environments, on‑prem and cloud‑based systems, telecommunications, and circuit connectivity
Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of IT systems
Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities
Monitor network utilization and system health to identify risks, capacity constraints, and performance issues
Security, Risk & Continuity
Lead cybersecurity efforts including threat mitigation, monitoring, remediation, and access control
Maintain security tools, countermeasures, and monitoring systems to protect data and system integrity
Develop, maintain, and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans
Ensure backup, off‑site storage, and recovery processes are in place and tested
Leadership & Team Management
Manage, mentor, and develop IT technicians and system administrators
Oversee hiring, training, and performance management of IT staff
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues
Promote strong documentation, knowledge sharing, and process improvement
Project, Vendor & Budget Management
Lead IT portions of projects from design through implementation and delivery
Manage IT‑related vendor contracts, licensing, telecommunications, and service providers
Forecast hardware, software, and infrastructure needs for budgeting and capital planning
Maintain accurate inventories of IT assets and systems
End‑User Support & Enablement
Oversee delivery of technical support services across office and operational environments
Develop and deliver training related to systems usage, security best practices, and IT procedures
Ensure IT policies, standards, diagrams, and documentation are current and enforced
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of experience administering enterprise LAN/WAN environments
5+ years of experience in IT management with both strategic and hands‑on responsibilities
Strong experience with:
Microsoft Windows environments and Active Directory
Networking fundamentals (firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs)
Endpoint, printer, and enterprise IT support tools
Proven ability to manage IT staff and complex infrastructure environments
Preferred
Certifications such as MCSE, CISCO, ISSA, or equivalent
Experience with:
VMware or Hyper‑V virtualization
Microsoft Exchange, IIS, SQL Server
Network security frameworks, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM tools
Cisco, Barracuda, or Juniper networking equipment
Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Manufacturing or operational IT environments
SAP or SAGE systems
Physical security systems (access control, CCTV)
